BMC64 Breadbin

As mentioned in an earlier post, I kept hold of my Raspberry Pi and the breakout board of my BMC64 so that I could put it into a Breadbin case. So, off to eBay I went, as I knew there was a seller there that sells complete C64s and parts called phil6581. I bought an empty case a keyboard, and 3d printed the blanking plates and Raspberry Pi holder. Lastly, I needed to buy the joystick covers as the Breadbin model had this was made of metal and was screwed to the motherboard.

As you can see, there isn’t much to it at all! I also bought a BMC64 badge from it by the aptly named BadgeMan.

This C64 sits under my TV, and as it fully emulates the C64, the C2N, and 1541, it means I can simply unplug it and take it anywhere, and as I mentioned in an earlier post, I can use period correct joysticks too. I felt that as the BMC64 got me back into this, it made sense to do this. My real machine can have a well-earned rest, and this can play everything that ever came out for the C64.
